Bro's Top 10 Iron Maiden Albums

Iron Maiden is my first metal love.  I had the walls of my room covered in posters of the magnificent, Eddie.  Their catalog is classic, their live shows are amazing and their impact on heavy metal is too great to measure.  I spent the week listening to all my Maiden albums and put together a list of what I think are Iron Maiden's ten best albums.  Take a look, let me know what you think and go listen to some Iron Maiden.  No matter which album you listen to you will be immediately reminded that Iron Maiden are metal gods.  -Bro

LET'S COUNT EM DOWN!

10. THE BOOK OF SOULS

Critically acclaimed 2015 comeback album that showed their rock n roll range.

9. FEAR OF THE DARK

The title track gave us one helluva an anthem and a concert sing-a-long staple.

8. LIVE AFTER DEATH

I know its a live album so some might disqualify it from the list, but I am putting it on here (how metal of me).  This is the first Maiden album I bought when I was a kid and yes I bought it on vinyl.

7. KILLERS

The song "Wrathchild" is a classic featuring Steve Harris' bass giving us a preview of things to come and Di'Anno's vocals fit the song perfectly.

6. SOMEWHERE IN TIME

"Wasted Years" is one of my favorite Iron Maiden songs and this is one of my favorite album covers.

5. IRON MAIDEN

So many classic tracks.  "Prowler" and the title track are my personal favorite.  Iron Maiden's gonna get you, no matter how far...

4. POWERSLAVE

Big vocals, big production and big time tracks.  "Two Minutes To Midnight" and "Ace's High" are two of metal's all-time best songs.

3. PIECE OF MIND

Maiden's second album with Bruce doesn't disappoint.  Oh, and it gave us the metal classic "The Trooper."  That's worth a high ranking on its own but don't be fouled, the rest of the album is fantastic especially the first five tracks.

2. SEVENTH SON OF A SEVENTH SON

Progressive and melodic, I can sing every word to every song on this album.  Listen to "Can I Play With Madness" and try not to sing it at the top of your lungs, I dare you.

1. THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST

Iron Maiden's first album with the one and only Bruce Dickinson is one of the best metal albums of all time.  Bruce added one of metal's most recognizable voices to one of metal's greatest bands and the rest, as they say, is history.  You know the songs by heart, "Run To The Hills" and "The Number Of The Beast".  Make sure to listen to "Hallowed Be Thy Name" it is one of my favorite tracks of all time.  This album is a snap shot in time of a band moving from good to out of this world.  All I can say is, thank god for Iron Maiden.  -Bro
