High mountain desert rock. That's how, Luna Sol, describes their sound. I have to say that description absolutely fits. Luna Sol's, new album, "Blood Moon," rocks. It is a perfect combination of rock, metal, grunge, soul, doom and groove. If, Alice In Chains, and, Rival Sons, had a love child it would sound like, Luna Sol.
Fuzztastic riffs and groovy tight percussion set the tone for, "Blood Moon." Oh, and vocals, are grungy and earthy, and tie the music together in a perfect, high mountain desert rock bow. Picture the end of the movie, "Dazed And Confused." Young Mitch, comes home late after a long night of drinking and smoking. Feeling nice and buzzed, Mitch throws on his headphones, kicks back and cranks up, "Slow Ride." Well, if "Dazed And Confused" was updated for 2015, Mitch would throw on the headphones and crank up, Luna Sol's, "Bridges" (my favorite track on "Blood Moon"), A bit of a windy description, I know, but it fits.
With other amazing tracks like the fuzzy rocker, "Operator," the groovy, "Standley Lake," and the soulful, " Your War," Luna Sol's new album, "Blood Moon," is rock, metal, grunge, soul, doom, groove, perfection. I give it a high mountain, desert rocking, 9/10. Go get, "Blood Moon," throw on the headphones, lay back and enjoy. -Bro
