Impecable Instrumental: Bro-Metal Review, ARCADE MESSIAH "II"

I will cut to the chase, last year John Bassett's , Arcade Messiah's self titled album was one of my favorite albums of 2014.  It clocked in at number 20 on my list of 2014's best albums.  Their new album, "II" is even better.  "II" is the perfect combination of ambient, metal, prog, doom, and all points in between. Arcade Messiah, have made an instrumental album that will inspire you to put on your headphones and just listen.  There is an underlying beauty to this album.  You can hear it in every song.  There is heaviness as well, (check out the track 'Red Widow'), and this heaviness melds perfectly with the absolutely beautiful musicianship on "II".  There will be comparisons to Russian Circles, Opeth, and the like, and there are similarities, but there is something about Arcade Messiah's sound that I find very unique.  Maybe its the emotional response to the music, maybe its the great build in every song, maybe its the amazing musicianship, hell it's probably a combination of it all.  Whatever "it" is, I am 100% all in with Arcade Messiah and their new album "II".  9.5/10.  -Bro
