One Of The Best Albums Of The Year: Bro-Metal Review, After The Plague "The Forest"

I always try to title my reviews with an eloquent and clever description of the album I am reviewing.  In the case of, "The Forest," the most recently release from, Boston's, After The Plague, eloquence and cleverness weren't needed, instead I am going to keep it simple.  "The Forest," is easily one of the best albums of the year.  See simple.  However, the music on this album is anything but simple.  "The Forest," is aggressive and progressive, hardcore and metalcore, and to keep it simple, one of the best albums I have listened to this year.  Intricate musicianship and complexity, combined with aggressive screams and soaring clean vocals, have resulted in an amazing album and in my humble opinion, ushered After The Plague, into the forefront of the metal scene.  I have been a fan of this band since getting my hands on their last album, "Antihero," earlier this year.  "Antihero," is an amazing album, but "The Forest," is next level shit.  My favorite tracks from the album are, "The Edge Of The Woods" and "Fireflies," but all five tracks are big time. Since I have declared, "The Forest," one of the best albums of the year, it is pretty obvious I dig it and it garners the rare (and very deserved), Bro-Metal rating of, 10/10. If you want next level music and the best of the best, then go get, After The Plague's, "The Forest," immediately.  -Bro
